This Privacy Policy explains how Fameal ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Fameal mobile app.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account.
- Household & preferences. The details you enter during setup — such as family size, dietary preferences, and allergies — used to generate your meal plans.
- Meal plans. The plans and edits you create within the app.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment card details.
How we use your information
- To generate personalized meal plans and grocery lists.
- To sync your plans across your devices and the home screen widget.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the app.
- To manage your subscription and entitlements.
Third-party services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate Fameal:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Hosting) — account, household, and meal-plan data.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements.
- Apple & Google Sign-In — authentication.
- OpenAI — used on our servers to generate meal suggestions from your preferences.
- TheMealDB and Pexels — provide dish photos. No personal data is shared with these services.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, as needed to operate the app.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from More → Delete Account in the app. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Children's privacy
Fameal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
